After its double championship cup won during the past season, Cotton Sport Football Club de Garoua continues to make waves in the football arena. Monday, January 5, the Pan-African news-magazine "Jeune Afrique" honored the Roumdé Adjia club including it in the top 15 of the most successful football clubs in the year 2014.
The ranking is based on sports scores acquired nationally and especially on the African scene. Under the pen of Alexis Billebault, the journal quoted, "Cotton Sport de Garoua, sixth last year, remains a safe bet: it has reached the semi-finals of the CAF Cup, but won it all in Cameroon.
Indeed, the club founded in 1986, won his 6th Cup of Cameroon on November 22 by beating 2-0 Panther de Bagangte; a few days before assuming a 13th title of champion of Cameroon in an encounter with Union Sportive de Douala.
