Everton linked with bid for Basel’s Breel Embolo

Basel forward Breel Embolo is a transfer target for Everton, according to reports.

The £10m-rated 17-year-old is a Switzerland Under-21 international who featured against the Toffees’ Merseyside rivals Liverpool in the Champions League last month.

Embolo, who was born in Cameroon, is also wanted by Everton’s Europa League rivals Wolfsburg. The Bundesliga outfit have already indicated that they will meet Basel’s £10m asking price.

Roberto Martinez is ready to rival them with a January move for the young striker, claims The Sun.

Embolo has four goals in 15 senior games for Basel.
