Fovu will take on Matelots while Tonnerre will slug it out with Botafogo.
The contention for leadership rages on with the runners-up, Tonnerre turning the heat on current league leaders, Fovu of Baham. While Tonnerre will be striving to reduce the gap separating them from the leaders, Fovu will be seeking to widen the leadership margin which now stands at four points. The Fovu-Matelots and Botafogo-Tonnerre encounters will therefore be the point of interest on the 15th day of play this weekend. Fovu has the slight advantage of playing at home while Tonnerre plagued with some intestinal problems, will have the uphill task of challenging Botafogo in their backyard at the Reunification stadium in Douala.
Douala Athletic Club, Botafogo, Matelots and National Polytechnic of Bambui are not left out of the race for the championship title as only six points separate them from the runner-up position given that the first three teams at the end of the championship qualify for the elite one championship. While the battle rages on for one of the three tickets to the first division at the helm of the league table, the battle is that of surviving at the bottom. Caiman, Lausanne and Santos in the 12th, 13th and 14th positions respectively, will therefore be fight to hop out of the relegation zone when the take on Apejes, Achilles and Dragon respectively this weekend.
