Liverpool to conclude Eto’o’s hunt-Reports

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is set to meet Samuel Eto’o’s high wage demands, according to recent reports.

The two parties had held initial talks over a move to Anfield for the former Chelsea striker without reaching an agreement.

However, the Reds are still desperate to strengthen their attack after failing to land several of their summer targets.

And a one-year deal with the 33-year old could provide a ‘stop-gap’ solution while they are working on long-term signings ahead of the next transfer window.

The Cameroon star has received a solid offer from Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam, but is said to favour a stay in the Premier League with Everton and Tottenham also interested in his services.
