Local Duo Make Cameroon Cut

Coton Sport duo, goalkeeper Loic Fedjou and defender Cedric Djeugoue have been named in Cameroon's final 23-man squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. The two were the only locally-based players Volker Finke's squad for the Mundial served the surprise inclusion.

After friendly games against Macedonia, Paraguay and Germany, Finke axed five players from the provisional squad for the expedition to South America. The casualties are goalie Guy N'dy Assembe, defenders Jean Armel Kana Biyik, Gaetan Bong, midfielder Raoul Loe and veteran forward Mohammadou Iddrisou.

The Indomitable Lions are housed in Group A with hosts Brazil, Croatia and Mexico.

The-four time African champions begin their campaign on 14 June 2014 against Mexico in Natal, play Croatia four days later in Manaus before wrapping up with a test against hosts Brazil on 23 June 2014 in Brasilia.
