One week after the beginning of the MTN Elite One championship, MTN Elite Two clubs will join the fray this weekend with matches scheduled in stadia across the country.
The championship was initially scheduled to begin one day before the elite one championship but owing to the fact that the ceremonial opening of the season took place on the eve of the beginning to the elite one championship; the elite two championship was deferred. However, the head of competitions at the Professional League, Manguele Therese Pauline, the playing will be harmonized by the 15th of February when some four Cameroonian clubs will be involved in continental competitions.
On the look out will be the performances of newly promoted and demoted teams to the elite championship. However, there will be a special focus on the Scorpion Bé versus Matelots encounter after the club from the north was rocked by player's strike last year. A new management team has been voted into office with a resolve to stay just one season in the Elite Two Championship and make a come back to Elite One.
It will therefore by interesting to find out whether they are going to put their resolve to action. New comer UMS of Loum beaming with enthusiasm is also out to create an impact when they take on Dragon.
