Embolo to remain at Basel

Cameroon born Breel Embolo has extended his stay at Swiss club FC Basel after agreeing a contract extension.

Embolo, who was born in Yaounde but opted play for Switzerland at international level, penned a new deal that will see him remain at the club to June 2019.

The 18-year-old was named the 2014 Young Player of the Year in Switzerland and has reportedly attracted interest from Bundesliga outfit VfL Wolfsburg.

Basel host Vincent Aboubakar's FC Porto in a UEFA Champions League Round of 16 tie on Wednesday evening.
