Pusamania Borneo are in talks with Cameroonian midfielder Eric Djemba-Djemba over a move.
Manchester United's legendary boss Sir Alex Ferguson did not always get it right. Over the years he brought in the odd stinker to Old Trafford. Bebe, Juan Sebastian Veron, Kleberson and of course, Eric Djemba-Djemba.
The Cameroonian had the odd moment for the club but all in all he was a flop at Manchester United. Signed from Nantes for a fee in the region of £3.5 million he never made the grade and was sold for a loss to Aston Villa for £1,5 million two years later.
Since then he has had a journeyman's career - playing in Qatar, Denmark, Israel, Serbia and popping up in Scottish football last term for a very forgettable stint with St Mirren.
Currently he is in the Indian Super League with Chennaiyin but the competition is short term and he is now planning for life after his most recent adventure. It looks as though he will be staying in Asia however, with a move to Indonesian side Pusamania Borneo.
The club, formed in March 2014, were promoted from the 2014 Indonesian Premier Division at their first time of asking, and have ambitions of winning the Indonesian title next season.
They currently have players such as Argentine Fernando Gaston Soler and Brazilian Danilo Fernando but no real big stars yet in their team.
Now they want Djemba-Djemba, with club president Nabil Said Amin Hussein suggesting a deal is n the cards, if they can agree to a reasonable salary: "Thank God, many believe with our ability to manage a professional club, so the players bid came not in vain," he told the club our site.
"We are currently discussing this offer, because it brings players the calibre of World Cup players obviously not easy and need huge funds. But it is not impossible."
Looking at his recent club history there would indeed be no surprise in Djemba-Djemba rocking up in Indonesia at this time in his career. A pretty fall from grace for a player once dubbed the next Roy Keane.
