The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) said it is strongly considering friendly games with either the Black Queens of Ghana or the Lionesses of Cameroon or both for the Super Falcons before the team departs for the Women World Cup in Canada.

The reigning African champions have been in camp in Abuja and were supposed to play Mali last weekend in an Olympic Games qualifier, before the Malians withdrew from the qualifiers.

With no competitive game in sight to get the team into shape before the World Cup, the Nigeria Football Federation has reached out to both the Cameroonian and the Ghanaian football associations for possible friendly matches before they leave for their Canada camp.

It is believed that the responses will be the affirmative when they come. The Falcons are billed to leave for Canada in seven days and the NFF wants to get them to play one or two ‘top’ friendlies before they leave.

Meanwhile, the team is also expected to play a few friendly matches in Canada against yet unnamed opponents, all in preparation for the World Cup which starts in the North American country in June and will see the Falcons take on USA, Sweden and North Korea.
