The Normalisation Committee of the Cameroon Football Federation, Fecafoot has been constituted into an Electoral Commission.
This is the decision of the Normalisation Committee made public by its President, Joseph Owona, on August 5.
The conistitution of the electoral commission is in line with Fifa Emergency Committee decision of July 3, 2013 appointing the Normalisation Committee and the July 20, 2013 on the composition of the committee.
Against this backdrop, the Electoral Commission would work in strict respect of the statutes, the electoral code and Fecafoot directives and the statutes of the leagues.
Besides, the strict respect of the deadlines, the commission would provide information to members of the elective general assembly, government, the media and public.
Most importantly, the commission would provide the procedure, open manifestos, evaluate and publish the lists of candidates among others.
It has also been decided that a bailiff would check the identity of candidates and the decision of the electoral body is final, binding and cannot be challenged.
