Semi-finalists of 2014 edition of CMR Cup revealed

The 2014 edition of the Cameroon Cup recorded Sunday, November 2, its first semi-finalists at the end of quarter-final matches. These finalists include Canon Sportif de Yaoundé, Panther Sportive du Ndé and nion des Mouvements Sportifs (UMS) de Loum.

At the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaoundé, the Canon derby against hurricane in Yaounde did not record any winner. The match with the first part played in heavy rain, ended with no goals.

So, Canon de Yaoundé, the most successful club in the country, qualified for the semi-finals thanks to its slim victory by 2 goals to 1 in the game played Wednesday.

Amidst the issues spiralling round the rematch, spectators were treated to an unusual scene: a young man was caught in the gallery of the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium with a machete. Apparently under the influence of alcohol, he threatened to inflict wounds on viewers. Fortunately, the police intervened on time to restrain him.

At the municipal stadium of Bangangté, Panther disillusioned the divisional Kumbo strikers with a score of three goals to nil.

At the Njombe municipal stadium, Ums de Loum defeated Apejes de Mfou with the score of one goal to zero.

Next Tuesday, the table of the semifinals will be completed by the winner of the match against Coton Sport de Garoua contre Njalla Quan Sport académie de Limbé. At the Friday match played in Limbe, cotton Sport had won with a score of three goals to one. The already qualified teams for the semi finals are Canon de Yaoundé, Ums of Loum, and Panther du Nde.
