THE national women’s team will face Cameroon in an international friendly in Lusaka next month. Both teams are preparing for the 2014 Namibia Africa Women Championship finals.
Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) communications manager Nkweto Tembwe said in Lusaka yesterday that the She-polo polo will play two friendly matches against Cameroon.
Tembwe said the dates are yet to be set. Cameroon, who are one of the eight teams that have qualified for the Africa Women Championship finals, will camp in Zambia.
The West Africans are expected in Lusaka next week. The She-polo polo will go into residential camp on September 1. They are in Group A alongside Namibia, Ivory Coast and Nigeria while Algeria, Cameroon, Ghana and South Africa are in Group B.
The tournament will be held from October 11 to 25.
