Tottenham have held talks with free agent Samuel Eto’o, according to the Sunday Express.
Spurs’ boss Mauricio Pochettino is suffering a lack of striking options and is looking for a solid back up for Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor.
The North London side is adding to the list of possible destinations for the Cameroon star, who has already been linked with Queens Park Rangers, West Ham, Sunderland, Everton, Liverpool and Ajax this summer.
However, the 33-year old high wage demands have already put off many contenders, while Eto’o has been rumoured to favour a move to Spurs’ rivals Arsenal.
According to the Indomitable Lions’ Team Press Officer, Raphaël Nkoa, a final decision is expected this week with regards to the former Chelsea striker’s future, with a possible move to the Major League Soccer still on the cards.
