Cameroonian international and New Stars striker Ashu Tambe has told supersport.com he is open to a move to Nigeria’s Glo Premier League.

Tambe was in Nigeria earlier in the year when he played for Warri Wolves during the Glo Premier League Invitational Tournament in Abuja.

However, he returned to his native Cameroon to join New Stars following his inability to complete the switch to the Warri side.

“I will like to play in Nigeria because I enjoyed the Super Six with Warri Wolves. The Nigerian league is strong. Besides, I know there are Cameroonians doing well with Nigerian clubs,” he told supersport.com.

Tambe’s initial romance with Wolves was actualised during the 2014 Caf Confederation Cup clash.

Although Wolves defeated Union Douala over two legs, Tambe troubled the Nigerians to earn an invitation.

Back home, the Cameroonian has scored four goals, including a hat-trick against Panthere de Nde.

To realise his dream of playing in Nigeria, supersport.com learnt Tambe recently signed up with leading Sports PR agency MatchRoom Sports & Media.

Nigeria have since become a destination for Cameroonian footballers and no fewer than seven Cameroonians play in the Glo Premier League.

They include Tamen Medrano (Sunshine Stars), Joel Djondang and Isaac Hele (Kano Pillars), Demba Malik and Souleyman Douri (El-Kanemi Warriors), Raphael Boumsong (Enyimba) as well as Kingsley Ashu (Dolphins).
