Lorient’s Cameroonian striker Vincent Aboubakar is on his way to Porto FC, according to L’Equipe.

After failing to agree personal terms with Sporting Lisbon, the 22-year old will, however, head to Portugal this summer.

Porto took the opportunity of their trip to France for the first leg of their UEFA Champions League play-off against Lille on Wednesday to finalise a deal with FC Lorient for Aboubakar.

The Cameroon international is set to pen a four-year contract with the Portuguese giants, who have settled on € 10 million to land him at the Estadio do Dragao.

A former Coton Sport’s star striker, Aboubakar had joined Lorient last summer following a three-year spell at Valenciennes.

He scored 16 league goals in 35 appearances for the ‘Merlus’ last season, before competing in his second consecutive World Cup finals with the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in Brazil.

He was also a serious target for Premier League outfit Hull City.
