We have nothing to lose against Cameroon - Traore

Guinea go into their second match of Afcon 2015 against Cameroon with nothing to lose on Saturday night.

If there is one thing that this tournament has proven so far is that there are no favorites. On paper Cameroon have an advantage over Guinea as they have never lost a game to them.

But Guinea captain Traore said the very fact that they are not favourites is what motivates them to do well.

"We have no fear. We knew from the beginning that we are a team nobody would count as favourites.

"We are not scared of any opponent and have nothing to lose. So we can simply play our game. That is what we want to do in our next match against Cameroon," he told FIFA's official website.

Both teams are coming into this match after playing to draws in their opening matches in this tournament. Cameroon played to a 1-1 draw with Mali as Guinea and Ivory Coast also drew 1-1.

Guinea are one of the lesser known entities, qualifying second behind Ghana in their group.

Despite their wins against weaker sides like Uganda and Togo, an impressive home draw against the Black Stars was the highlight on their road to Afcon 2015.

At some stage their 5-2 loss in a warm-up friendly against Senegal might have appeared as a challenge coming into this tournament but Guinea have put that behind them and played with so much belief in this tournament.

Going into the halftime break against Ivory Coast 1-0 up, they looked the better team. But they conceded inside the final twenty minutes to walk away with an unexpected point.

Despite all this, Guinea come into this match knowing that Cameroon are four-time African champions and are not called the Indomitable Lions for nothing.

Cameroon coach Volker Finke boasts an unbeaten record since exiting the World Cup 2014 in an unpleasing manner.

After not registering a single win on the world stage, it seems they have turned things around.
