Jean Marie Dongou has claimed the Liga Adelante Best African Player award at the LFP Awards for the 2013-14 season in La Segunda.
Recognising the wealth of African talent in Spanish football, for his efforts with Barcelona B during the 2013-14 season, Jean Marie Dongou has been proclaimed the Liga Adelante Best African Player at the LFP Awards ceremony.
19-year-old Jean Marie Dongou scored 8 goals in 30 appearances for Barcelona B last season and was a pivotal part of the group that saw the team finish in an impressive third place under Eusebio.
Runner’s Up
Real Jaen’s loan midfielder Ritchie Kitoko made 33 starts for the club last season and despite the club’s relegation, the defensive midfielder still proved to be a very consistent performer for the Andalusian side.
Deportivo’s Ibrahim Sissoko joined the club on loan from German wide Wolfsburg last season and went on to make 16 appearances for Fernando Vázquez’s side, showing form that saw the club try to make his stay a permanent one, although they were unsuccessful.
