Speaking at his press conference this morning ahead of this week-end clash against West Ham, the Frenchman also gave updates on Jack Wilshere and Mikel Arteta's recovery from injury.
He injured his hamstring in the FA Cup win over Manchester United on Monday night, and will be unavailable for the Gunners' game with West Ham on Saturday.
"West Ham had a very good start and Song was one of the influential players there with Sakho and Valencia.
"Kouyate has done very well with Song, they are a good pair in there and have given some good technical quality to West Ham. He looks extremely motivated and focused. I brought him here when he was 17 years old so I know how good he is."
