Current league leaders, UMS of Loum, have widened the gap at the top of the league with nine points as Yong Sports Academy, YOSA’s miseries continue.
Since YOSA’s last victory against Botafogo of Douala on day 23 of play, the lone Anglophone team in the Professional League 1 championship are yet to record a victory in their last four games. This has cost them so much as it has widened the gap between first place UMS of Loum and second place YOSA.
With just a difference of two points between the two on Day 23 of play, the gap has increased to nine points after YOSA registered two draws and two defeats in her last four games. 
Also, they have relinquished their second position on the log to Unisport of Bafang, who have the same points like YOSA, but with plus seven goals against YOSA’s plus four.
The Bamenda team is just a point shy of fourth place Cotonsport of Garoua that have a match in hand. Should Cotonsport win or draw in their delay match, YOSA will move to the fourth position. YOSA that recorded an unbeaten run of 12 games saw the spree come to an end when they were stunned by Union of Douala 0-1.
New Stars of Douala, Cotonsport, Dragon Club de Yaounde, Panthère Sportive of Ndé, all have a delay game.
