The Lions lost recently against Poland (3-1), despite a great resistance at the 18th World Volleyball Championship for men.

Saturday at Wroclaw, the Lions in this discipline suffered another defeat, the fourth in as many outings, against the host country, Poland, 3 sets to one (27-25, 23-25, 16-25, 22-25).

The fault of irregular services and a large number of mistakes were pin pointed as the major reasons for these defeats. "During this first set, we did what we should have done in our previous games," acknowledged Captain Jean Patrice Ndaki Mboulet, in a post-match conference. But the German technician thinks that overall, his players "lacked experience".

Poland, Russia and Brazil remain the only undefeated teams of the first round.

In addition to Cameroon, Tunisia and Egypt represented Africa at these World Championships. But none of the three teams will be in the second tour because they finished last in their group.
