Chris Taylor was not in possession of all papers required for immigration last Thursday. The news spread in the region of the East like wildfire that the son of a head of State was repressed in Cameroonian territory.

Cornelius Taylor, son of former Liberian president Charles Taylor, was arrested and escorted out of the country on January 22, 2015 at Batouri.

According to police sources, at the time of his arrest, the 21-year-old male was preparing to go to Yaounde. He was even paying his ticket in a travel agency. Well introduced sources claim that he had no papers allowing him to stay in Cameroon and that he had by devers a passport issued to stay in West Africa.

Immediately informed of his presence, Emmanuel Halpha, the prefect of the Kadey gave instructions to his collaborators to convey him shortly after the town of Kentsou in the Central African border so that he fills the requirements for immigration to Cameroon.

He said that once he arrives in Yaounde, he would go to UNHCR for the issuing of the papers authorizing him to stay in Cameroon, an allegation that did not change the decision of the authorities.
