At least five foreigners were arrested along with three million counterfeit Dollar and Euro currencies in Afghan capital Kabul.

The Afghan Intelligence – National Directorate of Security (NDS) said the suspects were residents of Cameroon and were arrested in separate operations.

A statement from NDS said the suspects were arrested from the 9th, 10th and 11th police districts of Kabul city while they were exchanging counterfeit currencies.

The statement further added the intelligence operatives also confiscated chemicals which are used to produce counterfeit currencies.

NDS said the suspects were demanding up to $100,000 from the Afghan people to buy chemicals from Dubai and use them to produce counterfeit currencies in Kabul.
