Africans are often denied visas to the eldorado of Europe or America. But now, a white Frenchman is saying the heavens are crumbling on him and the world is ending after he was denied entry visa to Cameroon where he had planned to spend quality time with his Cameroonian wife.

After buying a flight ticket for 800 euros and spending another 75 euros and 100 euros respectively on insurance and visa fees, Thierry Franzen, a French citizen from Marchienne-au-Pont, was denied entry visa to Cameroon.

He had planned some sweet end of year time with Anastasie, his wife. But the embassy denied him visa allegedly because he did not have enough money in his bank account.

“I’m finished,” he says, “We spend hours talking via Webcam to try to absorb the shock. It’s been five months now I last saw Anastasie, my wife of two years. I was rejoicing already that I would finally be able to hold her tight in Cameroon. But now my hopes have been dashed, my heart is broken,” Franzen says.

Their date would have been on 20 October this year and he was already looking forward to it, but the Cameroonian embassy in France decided otherwise.

“Yet, I provided all the documents I was asked,” says heartbroken Franzen. “It’s crazy, they asked me to buy a flight ticket only to deny me visa even after I provided everything I was asked,” he says fighting back tears.
