Horyou welcomed The Social Solidarity Network for Action, the strong participation of Cameroonian organizations during the inaugural Social Innovation Forum and Global Ethics (SIGEF 2014) which was held at the Geneva International Conference Centre (CICG) from 22nd to 24th October 2014.
For three days, the city of Geneva hosted the first edition of the Forum for Social Innovation and Global Ethics. This forum brought together more than fifty organizations worldwide, thirty speakers who discussed in six plenary sessions of the major challenges facing our societies.
Moreover, the SIGEF 2014 invited the public to visit the exhibition pictures, "The People of the World” and the documentary Horyou TV four shot in Cameroon. Eight thematic workshops were well attended including researchers, professionals, students, NGOs and media for further reflection.
Cameroon was one of the most represented 2014 SIGEF countries, with the presence of many organizations including the Digital Cinema Ambulant (CNA), the Cultural Association Osmosis, the WESDE association, THE REPCAM, or ASCOVIME foundation Roger Milla and Heart of Africa.
On the other hand, SIGEF 2014 lauded social entrepreneurs, awarding two prizes to the most innovative projects from the twenty-four who were shortlisted. Finally, SIGEF Awards 2014 honored five members’ personalities of the Horyou platform for their commitment to their community.
Dr. Georges Bwelle, the ASCOVIME organization, received the award for Humanitarian Aid, and Claire Mimboe NdiSamba, President of REPCAM organization was recognized for its actions for Social inclusion
However, The Social Network for Solidarity Action, Horyou held a press conference on Friday, November 21, 2014 at 13:00 at the Hilton Hotel in Yaoundé.
It was attended by the founding Partners 2014 SIGEF; Horyou Foundation ADEX Holding Group, Pencil Line Agency, MSQ Group, Geneva International Conference Centre (CICG) 2014.
