The 19th edition of Cameroon’s film festival “Ecrans Noirs” is on-going in Yaounde.

The film festival scheduled to run from the 18th to 25th July 2015 has brought together over 20 film makers from across Africa.

A total of 86 films will be projected daily during the film jamboree at different locations in Yaounde as from 4 pm.

The Ecrans Noirs festival village is the May 20 Boulevard which is constantly flooded with excited visitors who either come to take part in workshops and competitions or watch movies being projected.

To many visitors, the festival is an opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with icons in the film sector.

This year’s theme is centred on the need for training in a digital era.

Films are being projected at six different locations in Yaounde including: - Sita Bella Hall (Cameroon Cultural Centre) - Goethe Institute - Yaounde Conference Centre - CNPS Hall - May 20 Boulevard (festival village) - French Cultural Centre
