AFRIMA is an award platform which is aimed at celebrating the diversity of African Music. This year’s edition will be hosted by one of African's fast rising economies and entertainment hub, Nigeria.
The nominees for AFRIMA (All Africa Music Award), for the year 2016 have been made public. Worthy of note is the fact that Cameroon is hugely represented!!!!
Cameroon seems to have made considerable progress as various categories are crowded by products straight out of 237 factories. The progress we always talk about is now visible! Artists who were nominated include; Stanley Enow, Franko, Locko, Reniss, Charlotte Depanda and Adrenaline (Video Director).
Adrenaline was nominated under the category of Best Video Director alongside other renowned directors across Africa. We have names like; Clarence Peters (Nigeria), Godfather (South Africa) and other directors from Ghana, Kenya and Uganda.
The ‘Million Francs Question’ (tired of using million dollars lol) which flashed in the minds of Cameroonian entertainment lovers and critics is; Why Adrenaline over other directors, more especially Nkeng Stephens (also known as Flames)? Given that Nkeng emerged victorious at the maiden edition of Urban Jamz Award (2016).
How possible is that?
Whatever things turn out to be, their works remain incredible, no matter who is nominated, it is 237 which is represented. While answering the aforementioned question, let’s not forget to rally and support our Cameroonian nominees
