Dear Readers,

I scribe this post with a lot of melancholy in my heart. Melancholy not because Achaley is dead, but because so many people will continue dying because of the same reason(s) he died; Jealousy, hypocrisy, envy, and man’s inhumanity to his fellow man…

Our industry seems to be plagued with inequality and partiality, hypocrisy and pretense, an industry where you can die as an ordinary social media user and receive state burial and honors from the same people who were practically never aware of your existence.

That’s exactly what has happened to Starboy Achaley, though he had gained his respect by winning ‘Star de Demain’ and his seldom voice which handpicked him from flock of ‘artists’.

Achaley was a seasoned artist and songwriter who could temper with anyone’s emotions at any time via his music. People listened to him when they were sad, happy or angered making his music timeless. An attribute most artist long for in their careers.

Alas, this fetish he had in music couldn’t last long as he received a beautiful Kiss from death! Achaley died at the warm age of 30, allegedly from ‘Liver Cancer’ at the Limbe General Hospital. Though some rumors pertain to the fact that he was sexually abused and died from “cancer of the anus” which as I say are rumors, but could be true looking at what Achaley’s mom said in the video which went viral online (having more than 3000share and 60,000 views).

It is so sad to know that, it is at the dead of Achaley that the entire Cameroon knew about him ironical right? Those who didn’t know him claimed friendship, ‘Chuckskin’, as Smart Achu, a friend of mine will term it!

It is equally sad to know that, before Achaley’s death, ‘Feeling So Insecure’ one of his hit songs had 28,000 plus Youtube views but now amounts to about 47,000 plus Youtube views, even those who never watched it when it was released scrambled to watch and post on social media to have a good name… Pathetic, have I mentioned that people are hypocrites?I think I have.

Achaley’s death is the peak of man’s inhumanity to a fellow man, which is the same situation many youths out there are facing. Youths are sexually assaulted, raped and engage in unscrupulous activities to make their way to the top. This is because we vehemently refuse to support each other.

When someone is talented as Achaley was, instead of pushing his talent genuinely, we’re infected by the disease of jealousy which causes him/her to do the unexpected and destroys the future and career of the persons involved.

Brethren, lets support each other when we’re still alive, don’t wait when A or B dies to show him/her love, share his/her works to all your friends and relatives.

It practically makes no sense and adds nothing to the fact that the soul is no more! Achaley overnight has become a legend. If he was alive I don’t think people would have shown him so much love.

Even those ‘responsible for his death’ are the ones mourning more than the bereaved.

Please don’t let talented Cameroonians feel insecure about their future!

I think I’ll end here for now.

May your soul rest in perfect tranquility and condolences to the family… God is still saying something!
