A cultural encounter featuring modern and traditional music, dance, fashion parade, art exhibition... will hold in Douala in the evening of August 2, 2013.

"Peace, cultural embrace and tolerance" is the theme retained for the first ever of the "African Ladies" concept. Prone by a Douala-based production house called Tarafa, the event aims at celebrating African cultural diversity through a mega musical concert, traditional dances, art exhibition, and fashion parade, amongst others.

With three internationally acclaimed musicians announced being Grace Decca (Makossa diva), Marole Tchamba (Benskin diva) and Lady Ponce (Bikutsi diva), a press conference was organised in Douala on Wednesday July 31. According to one of the organisers, Raphael Takala, the initiative will be extended to other regions in the near future, so as to effectively bring their cultural heritage in the limelight.
