Buea like Bamenda yesterday was all colorful. Last night marked another historical moment in Buea with the Urban Jamz Awards night coming to an end with plenty of good stories to tell – among which Vumomse, emerging as Best Gospel Artist in the Diaspora.
Hours later, we caught-up with the star on an online chat who later expresses his joy for being nominated, wining and excitements toward the organizers.
You have been awarded best Cameroonian diaspora gospel artist, what can you say about that?
I am very grateful and I bless God for being nominated in the first place. A lot of amazing artist in that category. Wao! I feel honored.
Where you expecting it?
Well when you are nominated for an award, all you expect is to win. I try to stay positive and keep moving. If I win, praise God, if I do not, praise God, may be it wasn’t my time. I do this to glorify God. A lot to accomplish. Always on the ground looking forward, running, moving and doing what God has called me to do.
Any credit for the organizers?
I want to first of all thank the entire Urban Jamz Awards team for putting together sometime like that, and for recognising me. Secondly I want to thank Best Music Inc. for all they do.
Special thanks to my producers SlimBeatz, my director Didi Blaise and also the entire Vumomsé Management team.
Also a big thanks to all my fans the world over and to those who voted. Last but not the least, a special thanks to my wife and beautiful family.
Thank you for always being there for me. To God be the glory.
