André-Marie Talla and Sam Fan Thomas are to be honoured in France. The two Cameroonian artists will be in concert in the Hall of the Olympia Bruno Coquatrix, in Paris, on Sunday, May 17, 2015. The two giants of the Cameroonian music will offer a live concert.
André - Marie Talla will celebrate during this occasion his 45 years of music. André-Marie Talla and Sam Fan Thomas themselves were both already part of the "Black Tigers", a music group in Cameroon in the 1970s.
Sam Fan Thomas releases his first album, "Rikiatou" in 1978. He witnessed an international surge in 1984, with African Typic Collection, a very rhythmic title, which combines Makossa and funk. The album got a gold disc.
The success continued for 'black tiger' New-Bell. He also had albums like Neng makassi (1985), Funky makassi et Si tcha (1986), Makassi again (1987), Emotion (1993) et No Satisfaction (1999).
May 17, will not be the first time that Cameroonian artistes will perform at the Olympia. Group X-Maleya preceded them on September 14, 2014 for a show very appreciated by the public and specialists.
