After "Beza Ba Dzo" in 1998, the Queen Mother of Bikutsi to release "My life, my songs" on December 20, 2014.
There is still a place for the superstar in the Cameroonian musical arena which made Reuben Binam, former pianist and leader of the Macase group, decided to carry out this umpteenth album of the Golden Voice, or the Queen Mother of Bikutsi to "honour the entire artistic career of Nzié mama."
The work announced to be in stores next week will revisit ten favorite songs in the diva's repertoire which was one of the earliest female voices of the Cameroonian music in the 50s and 60s joined by two new titles: "Ma Veme" and "Eto'o." These will be played with other twelve tracks of the album which cuts across jazz, bolobo, Bikutsi and rumba.
Younger sister of the great guitarist Cromwell, Anne-Marie Nzié played the ukulele and especially revealed to the public her exceptional voice which made her one of the favorite artistes of former President Ahidjo alongside Eboa Lottin.
After the success of the album "Freedom" (1984), she went through a difficult period before René Ayina helped her back on stage and Brice Wassi to perform with great names of the Cameroonian and international music the album "Beza Ba dzo "(1998) which was the first album of her career with a rare longevity.
Anne-Marie Nzié with Manu Dibango (80 years since December 2013) are the oldest artistes in Cameroon and still active.
