Vumomse
Vumomse is a Cameroonian international and national multi award winning and multi nominated Afro pop inspirational music artiste based in the United States of America. Read what he has to say about his career, the Cameroonian music industry and his upcoming projects:
"I officially started doing music a while ago. About 15 years ago. I used to be a dancer and was called Charlo Magique in my secondary and high school years then I started singing about 10 years ago. I released my first album titled RAKATA on Noverber 2014 which landed me a couple of awards and nomination including a nomination as Best Male Artiste In African Inspirational Music of All African Music Awards (AFRIMA).
Our elders say, what deosn't kill you can only make you stronger. Like every artiste, I encountered a couple of difficulties which were normal and expected. One of these was the genre of music I do, it is kind of new to the markek and funny enough, that is what gave me my breakthrough and set me apart. But I used those challanges as a stepping stone and lesson to take to where I am today.
I think the show biz in Cameroon has taken a 360 degree turn in a positive not. I set a day apart sometimes just to listen to music from young artists from Cameroon and it is so amazing that 99.9999% of the songs I listen to is packed with unspeakable talents. Only God know where the Cameroonian music will turn out to be in the next 5 years. The evolution and talents is unspeakable.
Oh well If I had to make a feature, it will be a very though decision for me because there is a whole lot of diversity and talents in the Cameroon music sphere. A good song will be one of the things that will influence my choice.
My song featuring Kilflex titled 'Victory' is an inspirational song that expresses that regardless of what we are going through in life, there is always something to look back and celebrate. Nobody said the road to victory will be easy but obviously, God has not brought us this far to leave us. We can be anything we set our minds to regardless of the speed bumps on our way.
We are working on a Cameroon nation wide tour soon so stay tuned."
