Cécile Eke officially presented to the public in Yaoundé her first album entitled ‘Ongola’ on January 28 at the cabaret restaurant wood Ebony (Yaoundé Elig Essono).
This was after a similar show at Douala a few months ago where she gave an excellent performance.
Despite the defeat of the Indomitable Lions who had their premature exit from the CAN 2015 to Côte d'Ivoire, music lovers have responded massively to the invitation of Cecilia Eke.
The native of Ongola who took to the stage around 22h30min reviewed the album with a cocktail of exceptional sound as ‘Ongola’ is her first album. The former singer of the Stone Band also gave an unforgettable ride on Ekan trails, afrojazz and folkafricain rhythms.
The album consists of 9 tracks, Cécile paid tributes through this composition to Ongola families who were expropriated.
However around 17h, Cecilia Eke met with the press for over an hour where she answered questions of concern thrown at her from the media men and women present.
