The first feature film of the Director Françoise Ellong entitled WAKA whose plot revolves around the life of Matilda, mother of a little boy and prostitute desperate to raise her son, was honored at the opening of the 14th edition of the Lights of Africa Festival.
Lights of Africa is a festival of the African cinema, Besancon which owes its existence to the Association for the Promotion of Arts and Cultures of Africa (APACA). This year it runs from November 8 to 16.
The movie was presented by no other than Francoise Ellong and the actress Patricia Bakalak who was playing the role of the stunning Mathilde.
The presentation was based on the country of origin of the work, placed in context projection and sharing between spectators and the film crew.
Cote d'Ivoire is slotted for the 3rd edition of the International Festival of ‘Lacs et Lagunes’ Flim from November 21 to 29
