The maiden edition of the AFRICAN MUZIK MAGAZINE AWARDS (AFRIMMA) saw the nomination of some Cameroonian music stars in various categories.
Appearing in two categories is the rising Cameroonian star-boy, Stanley Enow, who was nominated in two categories (Best Male Central Africa and Best Newcomer Artist). Since releasing his first single Hein Pere, the artist has been making waves in the music industry, winning awards and also performing around the globe. It should be noted that was also nominated for the MTV MAMA Awards which will be held on June 7 in South Africa.
For the Best Female Diaspora artist two Cameroonians: Les Nubians, Dencia were nominated. Also, Lady Ponce and Gasha were included in the Best Female Central Africa category. Meanwhile, another Cameroonian artist, Sine joins Stanley Enow for the Best Male Central Africa category.
AFRICAN MUZIK MAGAZINE AWARDS (AFRIMMA) is the sole award ceremony in the Diaspora that caters to all musical genres including, but not limited to: Afrobeats, Assiko, Bongo, Decale, Funana, Genge, Highlife, Hiplife, Kwaito, Lingala and Soukous.
The 2014 AFRIMMA Awards will take place on July 26 at the Eisemann Centre in Richardson, Texas-USA
