Private television Canal 2 International announced through a teaser broadcast on Monday, January 5, the 10th edition of the award ceremony which has been organised for almost ten years.
A press conference by the Organizing Committee on December 17, 2013 in Douala announced this 10th edition but nothing was heard until this year.
Canal d’Or has thus made a comeback after two years since the last edition in the Palais des Congrès in Yaoundé (March 30, 2013). With the re-launch of the event with the annual awards for artists in Cameroon, concerns already abound in the entertainment community; prominent of them being the selection criteria.
Organisers usually considered performances of artists for one year period and a lot of people are wondering what length of period will be given this time around.
