Daphne opens up during an exclusive interview about her life, education and career on Empower Success in Africa.
The Gunshot composer disclosed that her journey in music did not just happen out of the blue. According to her music has been a part of her since childhood when she joined the choir.
Daphne said she took music more serious in 2009 by visiting studios while in the University. However her music career sky rocketed in 2013 after which she described herself as a “fresh professional” with Rastafari being her first official single.
She described herself as a teacher and stated that her songs are based on her personal life experiences. Thus she uses her songs to capture the hearts and minds of listeners so they learn a thing or two from it.
The composed singer advised the youth and everyone with great ambitions to believe in God, themselves, be hardworking and learn from the already skilled.
She bared gratitude to bloggers and social media who have “been a really really important factor in my career because that was when people began to know Daphne”.
