The only magical secret for every good music is making it magical.

Africa’s young finest Hip-Hop rapper and Dancehall act Dex Willy – a War Machine & S.M.B artist, dishes out his 11 track mixtape from a terrain where the afro-pop music got it inspiration (Makossa), from where the western hip-hop also got it ever first bass (with Soul Makossa) blend into snares and claps; Cameroon.

Having leaved almost half his life in the United States, Dex Willy has a master in Bilingual Letters from the University of Dschang.

Bomo Willy Dex a.k.a Dex Willy, hails from Nden, a small village in the Southern region of Cameroon.

Dex Willy was born in 1991 by Colonel Nna Andre, a forestry soldier and Nna Pulcherie, a high school teacher from a family of 5 and the only boy.

In 2014, he returned from the diaspora with plenty of rap punch lines which culminated to two powerful songs and videos “Les Lions sont Fâchés” and “Merci Papa” since then, Dex laid low until 2016 that he has decided on rejuvenating with his first ever mixtape “FROM NOTHING TO SOMETHING”.

Called it a cluster of 11 dominant, vigorous hip-hop instrumented hits, the young stunner simply called it a microcosm of the power of his ink and a new beginning of his music career.

Singing and rapping in both English and French, Dex Willy wrote all the lyrics and sings 10 songs alone with one remix; Turn-Up, a dance floor hit featuring Nabila, an unequaled dancehall chick in Buea, produced by Le Drea of the 808 Nation Inc.

From Nothing 2 Something-Mixtage

From the intro, track 01, Dex Willy introduces himself once more and official demand for understanding from those he has wrong since his debut, his haters, and those that loves him and hopefully ended with a soft and sincere voice accompanied by a DJ Bozzeur’s instrumentals.

A non-believer of mankind’s courtesy, he calls for truth, hard work and ended up with a credit to all his producers.

“When you in this world, you are out for your destiny, nobody is gonna tells you what you have to do… just be you, only you, trust in lord…put him in the first place of what you are doing…”

From track 02, Don’t Blame Me, Dex Willy shows his emptiness and preach of mistakes not a virtue of life committed by every human being intentionally and a faith which no one can run from.

I’M UP, track 03, we could call it the “from nothing to something” title song because of storyline and sense.

Recalling his days in the dirty city of Mvoomeka, where he was originally born, and 70% of his lyrics are a reflection of his life back in the ghetto.

The softness of Dex’s innocent’s voice in Track 04 “Moon Light” preaching “have mercy”, will paint a pitiful imagery of how Dex’s life has been to what he is today at the age of 24.

You will as well get that direct face to face off microphone reaction of Dex to those that said he won’t make it in “ESC” Track 10.

The entire mixtape is a resume of a ghetto kid story culminating to “One By One” track 07 that Dex is leaving his past and celebrating his success and fortunes.
