A beautiful urban tribute to Makossa, which was once one of the most danced rhythm in Africa! Special dedication comes via the intro which captures selected pieces of legendary movie “Quartier Mozart” of Jean-Pierre Bekolo. However, he adds a little more daring twist to spice it up with.
ANG (Elong Moussongo M .Angelot his real name) is a young Cameroonian music producer who lives in London.
He was born in 1987 in Douala where he grew up and schooled. He later flew to England in 2011 after he had his License in Marketing.
With an early passion by Hip Hop, he started writing his first lyrics in high school and joined the crew BLP (Black A la Page), composed by Armel Weladj, Bouvier, Toxic, Carlos K. and VR.
After several live performances and the release of some singles, the team split up. Angelot becomes ANG, and partners with Bouvier. He then created the "DODEI" band, which now focuses on beatmaking.
His first productions were created at his longtime friend Tom’s. It is his association with rapper Tom K that ANG was initiated into music production. His passion kept on growing so strong that on his 18th birthday, his mother gave him a computer.
Fascinated by this gift (technique of integrating a song into another) ANG decided to discover the new possibilities of the Cameroonian music vis his computer; traditional Cameroonian music that has rocked his childhood,Toto Guillaume, Samy Diko and even new generation like Charlotte Dipanda, “#237 ON AIR” brings back famous Cameroonian songs that marked whole generations.
The visuals of his Beat Tape were designed by the Cameroonian artist and designer Fred Ebami based in London.
