Equinoxe TV presents the 2nd edition of ‘Number One Girl’

Season 2 of the reality show ‘Number One Girl’ has been launched and promises to be a good show for viewers.

Its transmission began on April 2, 2015 on private television station, Equinoxe TV antenna and will continue until 6 June.

The above information was communicated a statement Tuesday during a press conference by the organizers of the competition last Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at a hotel in Douala.

According to the organizers, the participants will compete in tasks like singing, photograph, dance and fashion. The winner will win a whopping amount of 5,000 US dollars, an airline return ticket for a trip to an African country and feature in an album of the sponsor, Cameroonian singer -producer Wax Dey (Nde Ndifonka for the state -Civil).

Wax Dey explained that he organized the contest for “ladies with dreams and the Cameroonian public” promising “suspense, emotion, screaming and crying”.

The program which lasts for thirty minutes will be broadcasted every Thursday, Friday and Saturday late afternoon. This program is primarily young people in school. Organisers said that the selected zones coincide with the school’s vacation days. Repeat of the show scheduled on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the same time.

The 2nd edition of ‘Number One Girl’ was filmed in Hotel Seme Beach, Limbe . The suite will have media men who will convey tasks to the participants. It has also been revealed by the team that Nigerian music star, Flavour will be involved at the end of the show.

The first edition was broadcast on Canal 2 International in 2014. The officials at Equinoxe TV, the media chosen this year explained that their antenna wanted to "take a new impetus to engage in entertainment, reality TV".

The 1st edition of Number One Girl was won by Sarah Musango, a young girl aged only 16 at the time. She had triumphed over 19 other competitors. She however had difficulty with the sponsors which do not involve Wax Dey and was replaced by her runner-up, Murielle.
