Now when you hear 'dinner party', almost everyone thinks long gowns and the likes but hey! What if you're not cut out for that sort of ‘razzmatazz?
I'm not exactly a 'girly girl' but although my decision to not wear a dress to my dinner had nothing to do with that and everything to do with poor planning plus being too broke to go and buy an appropriate jaw dropping dress, I've been thinking there has to be a chic alternative to evening dresses and so I thought pants. Flares to be specific.
You dress them up with a nice slinky/dressy top, preferably strappy hand. I'm wearing a simple camisole I got a while back and this wine red skirt-pant (culottes) from my capsule wardrobe.
If you're also like me : On a frugal journey and really can't afford to go get yourself a sparkly new dress, you can easily work with the basics you already have in your wardrobe, it just depends on how you pair it up to make it work!
Here is my tip!
- Accessorize, Accessorize!! Throw on a statement neckpiece, stack up on the arm candy, nice heels and you're good to go!
