Festival of art and theatre for the African child ended in Y'de

The Festival of art and theatre for the African child was held last week in Yaoundé. A constant, but always noted challenge.

The Festival of art and theatre for the African child witnessed its 16th edition in 2014. And despite the always difficulty to root out potential promoters, according to the organizers, the kids had their shows.


The insured playful side, formations, but also dance, theatre and budding artists drawing workshops have been held for three days.


The fashion shows, performances of clowns and urban and traditional music concerts also furnished this 16th edition. Companies like 'Mook' and his 'Multifaceted Castle' play, dance like the "Top Boys 3" groups have ensured the show.


In Yaoundé, it is the youth and animation Centre located in the Madagascar, which hosted most of the joints. The period of major holidays, conducive to this event, allowed the participation of many young people of Yaoundé and its surroundings.


The ceremony opened July 8 and closed on July 10, without forgetting the different formations.

It was an impressive cultural diversity in this space under the supervision of the municipality in Yaoundé I. it was also an opportunity for Fatea president Bienvenu Mbala Bengoula Show, to discover talents and Polish others.


Contributing to the education and formation of children through performing arts, is one of the objectives of this new edition of the Fatea.


Sponsored by the Ministry of Basic Education and organized by the association Theater Bengoula International (TBI), the Fatea continues to evolve each year a little more.


An actual outbreak, Bengoula Show still expected it despite 16 years of existence. A vision that goes hand in hand with secure financing.
