Cameroonian rapper, host and songwriter, Nami Nami Cyrus, has taken a stance on the music industry saying "some Cameroonian artistes only focus on music and neglect branding."
Thus, he wants show promoters to change the way they rate Cameroonian artistes.
In an interview with kinnaka.blogspot.com, he said, "Many Cameroonian artistes turn to impress rather than entertain and now music is all about entertainment because that's what brings the money. Also, many artists don't want to pay for promotion for their arts. Some just focus on the music and neglect their branding."
Even though he is doing well with his music, Kumba born artistes stated that his difficulties is penetrating into the French zone which has a bigger market. He added that there is familiarity when it comes to shows because only very few companies pay good money.
Delving into his background, Cyrus revealed that he knew he would become a footballer or Lawyer, but everything changed along the line. Nonetheless, he had the flair for dancing and was a music lover because it runs in the family.
According to him, "around the year 2000 I started writing my own rhymes though they were not professional but I was happy and people loved it."
Asked about his relationship rumour with Ebangha Yvonne of Kreef Entertainment, he denied while adding that "we've met just once and now we talk only on social media there is no romance between us."
Cyrus revealed to kinnaka.blogspot.com that he will go for a "good heart" when it comes to the choice of the woman he wants to spend the rest of his life with.
On his new projects, he said he just released his new single titled 'Amassa' (No vex) and about to release the video of my song "Ewakajo". Nami Cyrus is currently hosting the biggest entertainment show in Cameroon 237industry nite and believes that in five years, "I will be Kamer's number 1 entertainer."
