'La femme en diamant', an event that received authorization from public authorities including the Ministry for the advancement of women and the family in 2014, will have its second edition held from February 25 to March 8, 2015 at the Esplanade of the Omnisports Stadium in Yaoundé.
The week for “femme en diamante” and the exhibition has been organized on the occasion of the international day of the woman (celebrated on 8 March), by Cameroonian Bikutsi star Lady Ponce. The second edition like the previous one, will be held at the Esplanade of the Omnisport stadium in Yaoundé under the sponsorship of the Ministry for the advancement of women and the family.
The event is designed to enhance multiple women, to enter into a dialogue with them and to promote their activities. In 2014, the Organizing Committee managed to put together several organizations and companies including the Association of women Bayam-Sellam, the Cinéma Numérique Ambulant, Jumbo, Biopharma, complex Sanza to name but a few.
In addition to the fair, “femme en diamante” is also a series of animations based on the role of women, and delivery of trophies to the most deserving, including that of Bayam-Sellam of the year, the seamstress of the year, etc.
