Legendary Bikutsi star quits planet earth

The legendary Cameroonian Bikutsi musician commonly called Mekongo President is dead.

Mekongo President died last Saturday 10th October 2014 in his village at Esse in the Mefou-Afamba Division of the Centre Region. The Bikutsi legend had suffered from a series of illnesses before his death.

Mekongo President was an outstanding musician who in his days had the capability of combining sounds to create traditional rhythms. Because of this he won the hearts of many Bikutsi fans in the 1980s.
