The beautiful singer Lihle Mbanjwa of the ace gospel music group Joyous Celebration, South Africa lost her life in a car accident in the early hours of Sunday, November, 30.
According to a statement from the group, Joyous Celebration, she was travelling in the same vehicle with the group’s band-mate and drummer, Sabu Satsha and a relative of hers when the unfortunate happened.
Sabu Satsha is said to have suffered head injuries leaving him in a critical condition although stable in a hospital. Lihle’s relative has also been admitted in an undisclosed hospital and is in a stable condition.
However, it has not yet been confirmed where the accident took place or where they were heading towards. The family of Mbanjwa is yet to confirm the date of her funeral.
Joyous Celebration of which Lihle is a staunch member were in Yaoundé a few months ago to thank Cameroon for standing by South Africa during both the apartheid and the first 20 years of multiracial politics.
The Yaoundé Conference Centre was filled with about a thousand audiences who were familiar with most of their songs and that was all it took to light up the place.
The death of Lihle Mbanjwa is a big blow to Joyous Celebration and they stated, “We appreciate your continued support over the years. We are counting on your prayers and support during this difficult time for us and their families”.
