MTN’s Make The Music contest winner Salatiel is currently in Europe together with the Green Soljas band made up of :
Dr. Sley, leader, lead singer (reggae), Salatiel, lead singer, keyboards, producer, Percykell, bass guitar, David, drums and backing vocals
The group is made up of Cameroonians specifically from Buea in the South West Region. The group’s genre of music includes reggae, afro soul and afro urban. The group have been working together as a band since 2008, with Salatiel and Dr. Sley kicking it off before Percy joined them in 2010 and then David.
This is the first international tour for the full band but a 3rd for Salatiel an afro soul reggae solo artist. This tour comes as a post promotion for Dr. Sley’s reggae album "Welcome to Hope" which was released last month and the current tour bears the name the “Welcome to Hope Tour”.
On this tour, the band performs mostly songs from the album and also a few songs from Salatiel's upcoming album “I Am Salatiel” which includes the single Fap Kolo.
The tour kicked off on July 24th in Tubingen, Germany and the remaing tour dates are as below:
30th July - CAFEHAUST (University of Stuttgart) - Stuttgart, Gerrmany
2nd August - AFRIKA TAGE - Vienna, Austria
8th August - TROPEN TANGO - Lorch Wollmerscheid, Germany
9th August - AFRIKA TAGE - Dusseldorf, Germany
15th August - SUNSPLASH RAGGAE FESTIVAL - Rototom, Valencia, Spain
