Make-up flaws to avoid

Make Up

Imagine having that flawless make-up look that makes all eyes focus on you the moment you step out. A make-up trick is a precious commodity as it helps you know the pros and cons.

Make-up is very popular among most women and some men. Let’s face it, it makes us feel good. But if you apply it the wrong way or use the wrong products, it will age you rather than making you look fresh and useful.

Beauty products are used to enhance your beauty and not to make you look like a clown. Unfortunately, a lot of make-up flaws are seen everywhere. From over-made-up eyes to a concealor/foundation that do not match skin tone, to neglected eyebrows, dripping lip gloss and it goes on and on.

Also, there are different ways and times to wear make-up. There are times (almost all the time) when ladies overdo their make-up which is normally a disaster. Also, there is a specific make-up to wear for parts of the day and for different occasions for the day, evening, night, bridal, among others.

You can apply a light make-up during the day (morning). It’s safer to have a more natural look especially for school, work or the market. It’s perfect to maintain a light tone because when you stay outdoors for a long time the sun melts the make-up you have on. It ruins your face. This happens especially when the products you used are not authentic.

As make-up artist, Komal Gulati said, “Opt for make-up that won’t melt down in the heat, such as waterproof stuff, and most importantly keep your make-up light. Less is more”.

In the evening, a little more make-up is great since it's dark and not a lot of light is on you. A little more powder, mascara, lipsticks, concealers, and eyeliners, then you are good to go. Just make sure it doesn’t go overboard.

Below is a video of the dos and don'ts of applying make-up.
