Festibikutsi festival has been massive since its launch a few days ago with artistes all over the world performing and thrilling live band lovers.
The Minister of Arts and Culture, Madam Ama Tutu who was present to grace the occasion, commenced the show on Saturday, November 14 after David Baliab won the discovery price during the final competition.
The ceremony which was disrupted by a heavy down pour for more than two hours did not in any way disrupt the program as performers and fans waited patiently to enjoy the night.
The star of ‘Festibikutsi’, Mbarga Soukous was also honored. The festival paid tribute to him for his entire career and his contribution to the development of this rhythm. He also received a medal from President Paul Biya.
Artistes who made the program a memorable one were Sanzy Viany Coco Silver , the Fafi Band, Bisso Solo, Goddess Binta and Mbarga Soukous.
