The second edition of the Miss Prestige beauty pageant kicked off to an auspicious start last month with the finale scheduled for January, 2016.

However, the contest which is based on the intelligence of the Cameroonian girl and promoting local tourism and ethno-cultural values had its official press launch a few days ago in Yaoundé.

The press launch held on March 11, 2015 included the officials of the pageant who were rather optimistic the competition will be a great one.

Themed, “The woman in the service of peace and cultural values”, the team stated that it’s a topic that deserves attention, especially after the celebration of International Women's Day.

Promoter of the competition, Ms. Marina Fankem Tchassem, also assured the public that the team mates involved in the pageant will have their efforts acknowledged.

Aside that, Miss Prestige 2014 Miss Leticia Ndzana and her princesses Mbarga Omo’o Théres Andrea and Sissa Christelle Flora who were first and second runners respectively were present. Miss Ndzana stated that her goal for this year is to put an emphasis on the contribution of women in the promotion of cultural values and the development of tourism.

The social aspect of the beauty Queens was their initiative to visit an orphanage and hospital in Douala on January 7, 2015 and at Bamenda on March 8, 2015.

Next step will be at Ngaoundere and its surroundings on 18 April, and then followed by Bafang, Bertoua and Yaoundé.
